After much pain and trials, we have CLOSED on our house in Warner Robins, GA.
This has taken a bit longer than we had anticipated, but we are the proud owners (along with the bank) of a beautiful home.
I can't begin to tell you what that means. Today, I paid our first mortgage note. (Here comes the accounting classes) I figure with the extra $100 toward the principal in this payment I knocked off the last 3 payments. :) Wow, MORTGAGE AMORTIZATION is cool. AND, with JUST an extra $100 per payment, this year, I will take off 2 WHOLE years on the 30 year note. What are the banks thinking. From $108, 000 in interest, to 97,000. Amazing.
